GARDENS BY EMILY

Vanessa's wild tropical garden
Natural Beauty
This project was so much fun. The barebones were there, lots of growth, therefore we took out some plants, shaped others, and added some new touches. The thing that brought it all together was the clover added and the lovely meandering pathway. This garden is in an urban area in NDG. It really proves that if your dream is to have a more country/jungle aesthetic, it is achievable in a city setting.
Brigid's English Gardens
Structural shrubs with drifts of perennials
Emily has been working on this garden for three years now. Every year, we add something new, from boxwoods, to taxus shrubs, to grass and flowering plants. The beautiful Hydrangea was already there and is a lovely focal point of the garden. The back is equally lush and a pleasure to work in. This property has a clean English garden feel.

Todd's Perennial Gardens
Tropical touches and different leaf textures
This delightful front, back and side garden was an ongoing project for a full gardening season from May to November. The front needed cutting back and splashes of colour were added with annuals. It was a nice change from other yards in the area that are just grass lawns. The side featured beautiful planters and the back had a vegetable garden and more trees and perennials. It was great to ad annuals in the pots and in certain areas within the garden beds for visual interest. Like making a painting, it came together bit by bit, filling the space. Our client wanted a colourful tropical lively feel which I think was very much achieved.
